             Demon Slayer: Season Two Thoughts

                         My thoughts on the current season

    

    So, we return to the world of Demon Slayer! With Season 2 premiering less than 2 weeks ago, lets take a look at what's to come in the anime. Firstly, the elephant in the room: the Mugen Train movie. Yes, in case you hadn't known, the first 7 episodes of season 2 will be a "recap" of the Mugen Train movie. Well, not quite a recap, more like...a rerun. The way the episodes are formatted, it's basically the movie just sliced into 7 episodes. So, with that being, let's dive right into this:

                                       My Thoughts

    First off, the movie is absolutely gorgeous. It's honestly one of the most beautiful animated movies I've ever seen. That's saying a lot! So, of course, the animation is top notch! It's ripped directly from the movie! However, the first episode of the season wasn't. It actually served as a prequel set right before the movie started. Rengoku, one of the hashiras from the anime, plays a major role in this arc, and the first episode is him being in the spotlight. It tells a small story of his journey to the train, and helping a grandmother and granddaughter fight off a demon. 

    Solid first episode to start off the new season. We get more animation, more character development, story, and even more Rengoku moments (my favorite). Obviously, however, if you've seen the movie, then feel free to skip this arc and wait for the next one come December.
